Eastwood put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Rossford Bulldogs. Considering the Eagles have won four games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
MacKenzie Hady made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk). Hady was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, Maddie Hartman was excellent, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Karly Wasserman, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
Eastwood's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Rossford, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
