The Triangle Lake Lakers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. Everything went their way against McKenzie as Triangle Lake made off with a 81-56 victory. Triangle Lake has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 24 points or more this season.
McKenzie lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Rhys Hamlow, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hamlow has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Meister, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
The win (which was Triangle Lake's sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.8 points per game. As for McKenzie, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-21.
Coincidentally, Triangle Lake and McKenzie will both be playing Alsea the next time they take the court. Triangle Lake will head out to face Alsea at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, while McKenzie will host them at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
