Central Holmes Christian have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. They will challenge Carroll Academy on the road on Friday. Central Holmes Christian will be hoping to continue their now three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
Two weeks ago, Central Holmes Christian put the finishing touches on their 4th blowout victory of the season. They took their matchup against Oak Hill Academy by a conclusive 35-7 score. Central Holmes Christian were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Meanwhile, if Carroll Academy were riding high off their 37-6 takedown of Marshall Academy, that ride came to an abrupt end. Carroll Academy came up short against Winona Christian last Friday, falling 21-34.
Central Holmes Christian didn't have too many spare points in their game with Carroll Academy the last time the two teams met, but they still walked away with a 33-27 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Central Holmes Christian since the team won't have home-field advantage.
