Mount Calm were the 37-35 winner over the Kopperl Eagles when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Mount Calm fell just short of Kopperl by a score of 48-45.
Kopperl got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Isaac Payen out in front who scored 13 points along with 5 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Payen has scored at least 25% of Kopperl's points. Another player making a difference was Anthony Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds.
Mount Calm's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Kopperl, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Mount Calm will head out on the road to face off against Avalon at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. Avalon is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. Kopperl will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Evant at 7:30 p.m. on November 30th.
