The Fuqua Falcons will head out on the road to take on the Brunswick Academy Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Fuqua's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 83-12 loss at the hands of Banner Christian. Fuqua was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-8.
Sam Minix was Fuqua's leading scorer, having posted eight points. Minix also led the team in rebounds with five.
Mason Pleasants took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.
Meanwhile, Brunswick Academy pushed their score all the way to 69 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 89-69 walloping at the hands of Kenston Forest.
Fuqua has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season. As for Brunswick Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-8.
Fuqua was dealt a bruising 73-25 loss at the hands of Brunswick Academy when the teams last played back in January. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Fuqua was down 38-11.
