After two games on the road, Durant is heading back home. They will take on the Lennard Longhorns at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, Durant was able to grind out a solid win over East Bay, taking the game 67-54. Given Durant's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 139th, while East Bay is ranked 675th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Austin White continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 28 points. The contest was his seventh in a row with at least ten points. Wylde Correa was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 11 rebounds and 3 steals.
Meanwhile, Lennard's three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They put the hurt on Brandon with a sharp 56-30 victory.
Durant has yet to lose a matchup on the road this season, leaving them with a 6-1 record. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.8 points per game. As for Lennard, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.
Durant beat Lennard 59-49 when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Will Durant repeat their success, or does Lennard have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
