Charlotte Christian has not had much luck with Providence Day recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Several Knights players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Matty Carroll, who scored 16 points along with two steals. That's the first time this season that Carroll scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Daniel Guandolo, who scored 14 points.
Charlotte Christian's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 5-14. As for Providence Day, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.
Charlotte Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Cannon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cannon knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 23 matchups -- so hopefully Charlotte Christian likes a good challenge. As for Providence Day, they will head out on the road to take on Covenant Day at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Carolina (Covenant Day is ranked 36th, while Providence Day is ranked 27th).
