They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Patrick Henry. That's two games in a row now that the Dons have lost by just one run.
Mimi Botticelli spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on three hits and racked up ten Ks.

What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in March. Annika Isaacson was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Cathedral Catholic hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.4 home runs per game. However, it's not like Point Loma struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 1 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Cathedral Catholic took their victory against Point Loma in their previous matchup back in April by a conclusive 13-4 score. Will the Dons repeat their success, or do the Pointers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
