Mt. Pleasant put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season on Friday. They were fully in charge, breezing past Keokuk 53-0. That result was just more of the same for Mt. Pleasant, who also won the last time these teams played. The contest brought Mt. Pleasant to 4-2 and dropped Keokuk to a mirror-image 2-4.
Next week Mt. Pleasant take on Solon at 7:00 PM. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a win streak alive as Mt. Pleasant skips in on four wins and Solon on six. Keokuk will be staying on the road, facing off against Fairfield. Keokuk have seen their point totals decreasing over the past three games, a vulnerability Fairfield are surely hoping to exploit.
