Woodford County has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will  face off against the Frederick Douglass Broncos at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Both teams come into the  game bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
 Woodford County gave up the first  runs on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them  down. They won by a  run and slipped past East Jessamine  6-5.
  Sophia Gannon was a major factor no matter where she played. She  pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Gannon was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more  stolen bases the last three times she's  played.
 In other batting news, Woodford County let  Addie Bryant and  Madie Buntain loose on the outfield. Bryant  scored two  runs and  stole three bases while going 1-for-4, while  Buntain  scored two  runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Lily Slayton, who  went 1-for-3 with three  stolen bases.
 Meanwhile,  it was close, but  on Friday Frederick Douglass sidestepped Bryan Station for  a  3-2 victory.
 Woodford County has  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record  this season. As for Frederick Douglass, their win bumped their record up to 12-9.
