After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Chapel Hill, the Western Alamance Warriors were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They came out on top against Bartlett Yancey by a score of 54-45. That's another feather in the cap for Western Alamance, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Western Alamance to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nicholas McGhee, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 17 rebounds. McGhee also grabbed two+ steals for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Jones , who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Western Alamance's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points per game. As for Bartlett Yancey, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Western Alamance won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Cedar Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th. Bartlett Yancey will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on North Moore at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Carolina (North Moore is ranked 499th, while Bartlett Yancey is ranked 501st).
