The Patapsco Patriots's three-game losing streak came to an end on Monday. They walked away with a 33-21 win over Dundalk. For Patapsco, this counts as revenge for the 38-32 defeat Dundalk walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Patapsco found their leader in underclassman Kayla Gross, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Gross scored 15 or more points.
Patapsco's victory ended a 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-7. As for Dundalk, their defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Patapsco will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Overlea at 5:30 p.m. on January 10th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maryland (Overlea is ranked 229th, while Patapsco is ranked 243rd). As for Dundalk, they will head out on the road to face off against Randallstown at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Randallstown is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
