There's no place like home for the Johnson Atomsmashers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. Everything went their way against Savannah Christian on Tuesday as Johnson made off with a 69-43 win. That 26 points margin sets a new team best for Johnson this season.
Joshua Quarterman continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 23 points along with five assists and four steals. He hasn't dropped below 15points for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Favion Kirkwood, who scored 17 points along with four steals.
Johnson's victory bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Savannah Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 10-9.
Johnson won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Long County at 6:30 p.m. on January 24th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Long County is ranked 128th, while Johnson is ranked 132nd). As for Savannah Christian, they will head out on the road to take on Glascock County at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Glascock County is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
