The Napoleon Wildcats will stay at home for another game and welcome the Clay Eagles at 7:15 p.m. on February 12th. Napoleon will be strutting in after a victory while Clay will be coming in after a defeat.
On Thursday, Napoleon strolled past Springfield with points to spare, taking the game 45-31. The win was just what Napoleon needed coming off of a 54-33 loss in their prior contest.
Napoleon's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Chloe Cicero, who scored nine points along with five assists and five rebounds, and Makayla Kruse, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lylah Huddle, who scored four points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Clay's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a 37-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bowling Green. Clay has not had much luck with Bowling Green recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Napoleon is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-11 record this season. As for Clay, they dropped their record down to 5-15 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
