Sun Valley extended their losing streak to ten on Monday, dropping their season record down to 0-10 in the process. They lost 10-0 to the Bayard Rustin Golden Knights. On Bayard Rustin's side, AJ Calio made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Calio was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs while going 2-for-2.
In other pitching news, Alex Kennedy looked comfortable as he tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He is becoming a predictor of Bayard Rustin's success: when he allows at most two hits the team is 2-1 (and 3-4 when he doesn't).
Back at the plate, Mace Britton was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of David McClain, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.
