The Sanger Apaches had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Thursday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 42-14 victory over Bullard. The result was nothing new for Sanger, who have now won five matches by 27 points or more so far this season.
Leading Sanger to victory were Bryson Baker and Israel Robles. Baker gained 134 total yards and three touchdowns, while Robles rushed for 209 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.6 yards per carry. Robles is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Carlos Young, who rushed for 74 yards and a touchdown.
Sanger's victory was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 8-1. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 24 points. As for Bullard, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
Sanger will be playing in front of their home fans against San Joaquin Memorial at 7:30 p.m. on October 27th. San Joaquin Memorial will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 315th, while Sanger is ranked 53rd). As for Bullard, they will take on Edison at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Edison is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
