Having just played yesterday, the Mountain Ridge Miners will head out on the road to face off against the Berlin Brothersvalley Mountaineers at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Mountain Ridge's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight matches.
Mountain Ridge will bounce into Thursday's game after beating Fort Hill, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Mountain Ridge walked away with a 60-52 win over Fort Hill on Wednesday.

Mountain Ridge's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cameron Breighner, who went 7 of 10 en route to 22 points and seven rebounds. That's the most points Breighner has posted since back in January of 2024. John Delaney was another key player, going 6 for 11 on his way to 15 points in addition to six boards and five assists.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Berlin Brothersvalley beat Windber 59-53 on Tuesday.
Berlin Brothersvalley's win came from a few key players Mountain Ridge will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Matthew Miller, who went 6 of 9 en route to 17 points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Carson Janidlo, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 boards.
Berlin Brothersvalley is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for Mountain Ridge, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
Keep an eye on the arc in Thursday's match: Mountain Ridge has been dynamite from deep this season, having made 38% of their three-pointers per game. It's a different story for Berlin Brothersvalley, though, as they've only made 28.8% of their three-pointers this season. Given Mountain Ridge's sizable advantage in that area, Berlin Brothersvalley will need to find a way to close that gap.
Mountain Ridge came up short against Berlin Brothersvalley when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 68-60. Thankfully for Mountain Ridge, Pace Prosser (who went 13 for 21 on his way to 32 points along with five rebounds and three steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
