The O'Connor Panthers had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.3 points), and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Shoemaker 48-46.
Luke Bledsoe was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Jackson Schulze, who scored 9 points.
O'Connor's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Shoemaker, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
O'Connor will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against TMI-Episcopal at 6:00 p.m. on December 1st. TMI-Episcopal will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 473rd, while O'Connor is ranked 203rd). As for Shoemaker, they will take on Arlington Heights at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
