Pendleton County found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 20-42 punch to the gut against Lewis County last Friday. Pendleton County got a solid performance out of junior Matthew Campbell, who passed for 177 yards and 2 touchdowns; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the victory. Campbell has now scored at least one touchdown in the past 6 games.
Meanwhile, Russell put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. Everything came up roses for them against Fleming County as the squad secured a 47-7 win.
Pendleton County took a serious blow against Russell the last time the two teams met, falling 14-49. Can Pendleton County avenge their defeat, or is history doomed to repeat itself ? We'll soon find out.
