Softball Recap: Greenbrier Wins Going Away Against Parkview

The Greenbrier Panthers made easy work of the Parkview Patriots on Tuesday and carried off a 16-1 win. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by ten runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Ellison Miller, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two triples, two runs, and one RBI. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Krista Kollias was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Greenbrier always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .630. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Parkview only posted an OBP of .111.

The victory made it two in a row for Greenbrier and bumps their season record up to 11-12. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Parkview, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-19 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Greenbrier is set to square off against their familiar foe Sylvan Hills at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Parkview will face off against rival Little Rock Christian Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
