The Giltner Hornets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 22 points or more this season. Everything went their way against Blue Hill on Tuesday as Giltner made off with a 48-26 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Giltner.
Giltner got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ethan Ballard out in front who scored ten points along with six rebounds and five steals. Those six rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Marshall Humphrey, who scored nine points along with five steals.
Giltner now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Blue Hill, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-6.
Giltner will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lawrence-Nelson on January 4, 2024. Blue Hill's road trip will continue as they head out to face Southern Valley at 7:00 p.m. on December 28th. Southern Valley will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
