Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool's loss came despite strong showings from Lincoln Baum and Justin Mercer. Baum scored 12 points along with six rebounds, while Mercer scored four points along with seven rebounds and six blocks. Mercer has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Meier, who scored nine points.
Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Centralia, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-2.
Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool will take on Wichita HomeSchool in a holiday battle at TBD on Thursday at. One thing working in Wichita HomeSchool's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven games. Centralia will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Linn at 7:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
