There's no place like home for St. Dominic, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Lutheran Cougars on Tuesday. Considering the Crusaders have won six games by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Henry Molitor tossed a big game, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Daniel Henke was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Anthony Flamm Jr., who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
St. Dominic hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in four consecutive matches.
