The Gateway Charter Academy Gators can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They blew past A Plus Academy 93-35 at home. Gateway Charter Academy's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
It was another big night for Prince Rider, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 11 rebounds. Those 27 points set a new season-high mark for him. Trevion Gabriel was another key contributor, scoring 21 points.
Gateway Charter Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for A Plus Academy, they bumped their record down to 0-4 with that loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Village Tech the next time they take the court. A Plus Academy will host Village Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Gateway Charter Academy will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
