The Ganado Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Skidmore-Tynan Bobcats at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Ganado is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
Last Friday, Ganado won a match that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Three Rivers 27-26.
Ganado got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Bryce Ullman out in front who threw for 210 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Landon Hicks also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Skidmore-Tynan can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They strolled past Kenedy with points to spare, taking the game 43-28. The victory was just what Skidmore-Tynan needed coming off of a 46-14 defeat in their prior contest.
Kolton Lopez was his usual excellent self, rushing for 301 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 7.3 yards per carry.
Their wins bumped Ganado to 7-1 and Skidmore-Tynan to 3-5.
Everything came up roses for Ganado against Skidmore-Tynan in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 as the team secured a 70-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ganado since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
