Basketball Recap: Liberty Christian Academy's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

If Liberty Christian Academy was riding high fresh off their 65-43 takedown of Lighthouse Prep Academy last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Liberty Christian Academy Eagles came up short against the Westwood Baptist Academy Eagles on Friday, falling 48-24. The defeat continues a trend for Liberty Christian Academy in their matchups with Westwood Baptist Academy: they've now lost five in a row.

Despite the loss, Liberty Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Willy Mueller, who posted eight points and eight boards. Mueller has been hot, having also posted two or more blocks the last five times he's played.

Gage Barker was his usual excellent self, going 9 of 18 en route to 19 points along with seven rebounds and four steals for Westwood Baptist Academy. Anden Moore was another key player, going 5 for 12 on his way to 10 points in addition to eight boards and six assists.

Liberty Christian Academy's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-7. As for Westwood Baptist Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.
