Football Recap: Oak Grove Skates Past North Forsyth with Ease + How To Watch

Oak Grove won the last time they faced North Forsyth and things went their way on Friday too. The Grizzlies claimed a resounding 49-12 victory over the Vikings. The Grizzlies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by 37 points or more this season.

Oak Grove's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Grayson Treadway led the charge by throwing for 209 yards and three TDs while completing 73.9% of his passes. Treadway is becoming a predictor of the Grizzlies' success: when he posts at least three passing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 0-3 when he doesn't). Kimari McFadden was in the mix as well, providing Oak Grove with two touchdowns.

Oak Grove didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited North Forsyth to a completion percentage of just 47.8%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from five players: Bradley Byrd, Aidan Murphy, Isaiah Brooks, Rakwon Fleming, and Kingston Wilbur, who each logged one passes deflected. Oak Grove has been improving in that area: they had allowed a completion percentage of 0.61 earlier this season, but they've only allowed one of 0.61 in their last three games.

North Forsyth's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Cyncere Goff, who threw for 141 yards and one TD, and James McCaskill, who picked up 79 receiving yards and one score.

The win got Oak Grove back to even at 3-3. As for North Forsyth, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oak Grove will host Atkins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Grizzlies will be up against the Camels' rather soft defense (which has allowed 47.83 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for North Forsyth, they will welcome Mount Tabor at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
