Austin Wilmer gave up the fewest walks he has since back in March of 2024 on Saturday. He was dynamite, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 16 over six innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Bayfield is 2-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 1-5 otherwise.

Wilmer's effort led Bayfield over Centauri and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Wolverines are a perfect 9-0 against the Falcons going back to May of 2021, a lead they'll look to extend.
