The Clearwater Valley Rams will face off against the Kendrick Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Clearwater Valley and Genesee have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Saturday. The Rams blew past the Bulldogs 19-1. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.
Josh Gardner was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Gardner was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Clearwater Valley is undefeated when Gardner posts two or more runs, but 7-9 otherwise.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Kendrick challenged Lapwai on Friday. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 17-1 margin over the Wildcats. The win was nothing new for the Tigers as they're now sitting on three straight.
William Howard made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in both of his plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Nate Kimberling, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Xavier Carpenter was another key player, going 1-for-3 with four RBI and two runs.
Clearwater Valley's victory bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Kendrick, their win bumped their record up to 16-2.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Clearwater Valley has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Kendrick struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Clearwater Valley might still be hurting after the 12-1 defeat they got from Kendrick in their previous meeting on April 8th. Will the Rams have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
