Even though the Power Center Academy Knights scored an imposing 64 points on Tuesday, the Hamilton Wildcats still came out on top. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, Hamilton made off with a 65-64 win over Power Center Academy. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Hamilton also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2014.
It was another big night for Devan McGee, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 12 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Rodney Mcneal, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Power Center Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Marquis Tunstall, who scored 17 points along with eight assists and five rebounds. Nazir Allen was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with nine rebounds and three blocks.
Hamilton's victory bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Power Center Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-6 record this season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Kirby the next time they take the court. Hamilton will host Kirby at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Power Center Academy will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
