The Clarkrange Buffaloes had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They managed a 68-64 win over Red Boiling Springs on Friday. The win was just what Clarkrange needed coming off of a 100-46 defeat in their prior match.
Clarkrange found their leader in underclassman Jack Cordell, who scored 29 points along with six steals and five rebounds. Bryton Swallows was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Clarkrange's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-14. As for Red Boiling Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Pickett County the next time they take the court. Clarkrange will host Pickett County at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Red Boiling Springs will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
