The O'Connor Panthers suffered their biggest defeat since December 21, 2023 on Friday. They were beaten by Brennan 74-41. O'Connor has struggled against Brennan recently, as their game on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Simone Pryor and Casey Chavez certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Pryor scored 16 points, while Chavez scored 11 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Chavez hasn't dropped below two steals for ten straight games. Another player making a difference was Jules Roberts, who scored seven points.
Taylor Ross continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Brennan, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 25 rebounds. Ross hasn't dropped below two steals for 13 straight games. Bella Flemings was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
O'Connor's loss dropped their record down to 14-14. As for Brennan, their win was their 23rd straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 24-3.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Warren the next time they take the court. Brennan will head out to face Warren at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while O'Connor will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
