The Clinton Central Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their seventh straight loss. They took a hard 67-52 fall against Frankfort. Clinton Central found out winning isn't easy when you don't work as a unit and rack up eight fewer assists than your opponent.
Clinton Central lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Amrin Barrett, who scored 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Barrett has scored all season. Luke Davison was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Frankfort was led to victory by Kye Kirby and Alex Farley. Kirby scored 18 points along with six steals, while Farley scored 24 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Kirby hasn't dropped below 15 points for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Hale, who scored five points along with three steals.
Clinton Central's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Frankfort, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-7.
Clinton Central will be playing at home against Rossville at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Frankfort, they will head out on the road to challenge Crawfordsville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant against one another: Alec Saidan and Farley.
