Cascade is 0-10 against Lake Stevens since March of 2017 but things could change on Monday. The Bruins will head out on the road to take on the Vikings at 4:30 p.m. Cascade is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.
Cascade came out on top against Mountlake Terrace on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run first inning. The Bruins never let the Hawks get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bruins as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Not much got past Mia Walker, who gave up just two hits to keep Mountlake Terrace off the board.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Cienna Cannon, who went 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Lauryn Thompson also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Cascade kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Lake Stevens was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 8-5 to Stanwood.
Katie Lingren made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was McKenna Richer, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.
Lake Stevens' loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Cascade, their record now sits at 5-10.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Monday. Cascade hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.7 home runs per game. However, it's not like Lake Stevens struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.6 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Cascade might still be hurting after the 10-2 defeat they got from Lake Stevens when the teams last played on April 1st. Can the Bruins avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
