When it comes to explaining why Donaldsonville lost, one person who can't be blamed is Raiyen Oatis. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 37 points and 10 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Quinnton Dabney, who scored 7 points.
Donaldsonville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for East St. John, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Donaldsonville will take on Brusly at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brusly knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully Donaldsonville likes a good challenge. As for East St. John, they will head out on the road to face off against East Ascension at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
