Montgomery County might be getting used to good results now that the squad has four wins in a row. They were fully in charge last Friday, breezing past Van-Far/Community 60-20. Junior Ethan Abercrombie was the offensive standout of the match for Montgomery County, as he picked up 152 yards on the ground and accumulated 387 passing yards. That makes it three straight good games in a row from Abercrombie.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Clopton/Elsberry, and their game last Saturday only extended their streak of losses to three. They took a serious blow against Bowling Green, falling 6-41. The state rankings had actually given Clopton/Elsberry a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
Montgomery County had enough points to win and then some against Clopton/Elsberry the last time the two teams met, taking their contest 49-34. Will Montgomery County repeat their success, or does Clopton/Elsberry have a better game plan this time around ? We'll find out soon enough.
