The Falls City Beavers came tearing into Saturday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Carrizo Springs by a score of 38-26. That's another feather in the cap for Falls City, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Adisyn Reyes, who scored 8 points along with 5 steals. Reyes scored a full 30.8% of Carrizo Springs' points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Andrea Rangel, who scored 7 points.
Falls City has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Carrizo Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 14-7.
Falls City will head out on the road to face off against McMullen County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. McMullen County will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. Carrizo Springs will take on Del Rio at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
