Irvington Preparatory Academy blew past Liberty Christian 15-4. The result was nothing new for Irvington Preparatory Academy, who have now won 12 contests by nine runs or more so far this season.
Matthew Brooks was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Brooks was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Aiden Pollock was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. He is on a roll when it comes to RBI, as he's now brought in three or more in each of the last four games he's played. Josh Newsome also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
Irvington Preparatory Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Eastern Hancock hadn't done well against Indianapolis Scecina Memorial recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Royals were the clear victors by an 11-3 margin over the Crusaders. The Royals not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 30th (when they won 13-2).
Hayden Rouse was incredible, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two doubles. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Kolt Wilson was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Irvington Preparatory Academy pushed their record up to 16-4 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Eastern Hancock, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-11-1.
Eastern Hancock's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Irvington Preparatory Academy hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .323. It's a different story for Eastern Hancock, though, as they've only averaged .254. Will they be able to contain Irvington Preparatory Academy's hitters?
