South Pointe is 10-0 against York since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The South Pointe Stallions will host the York Cougars at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (South Pointe has 22 straight victories, York has 24 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
South Pointe is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing River Bluff: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that South Pointe blew River Bluff out of the water with a 70-19 final score. The Stallions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 34 points or more this season.

Kaleigh Lucas and JaNyia Cunningham were among the main playmakers for South Pointe as the former dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten steals and the latter went 9 of 16 en route to 22 points in addition to five boards and four steals. Lucas' evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Kemoni Hardy was another key player, putting up ten points.
South Pointe smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 18 consecutive games.
Meanwhile, York played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against A.C. Flora, falling 64-29. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 209th, while the Falcons are ranked 48th).
Loss or not, York got some senior leadership from Gracin Carroll and A'Merianna Ingram. Carroll posted nine points and seven steals, while Ingram put up nine points along with eight rebounds and four steals. That's the most steals Carroll has posted since back in November of 2023.
South Pointe pushed their record up to 22-0 with the win, which was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 41.6 points. As for York, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-15.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: South Pointe hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 67.4 points per game. It's a different story for York, though, as they've been averaging only 23.8 points. The only thing between South Pointe and another offensive beatdown is York. Will they be able to keep them contained?
Everything came up roses for South Pointe against York in their previous meeting back in January, as the team secured a 69-12 victory. In that match, South Pointe amassed a halftime lead of 50-6, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
