Even though the Etowah Eagles have not done well against the Creekview Grizzlies recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Etowah secured a 42-36 W over Creekview. That's another feather in the cap for Etowah, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Etowah to victory, but perhaps none more so than Megan Reed, who scored 12 points along with two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Savannah Aparicio, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and seven assists.
Despite the loss, Creekview still got an impressive performance from Amilya Taft (sy), who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and five blocks.
Etowah has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. As for Creekview, their loss dropped their record down to 12-10.
Etowah will head out on the road to take on Rome at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Creekview, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Woodstock at 6:00 p.m. Woodstock has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 184 points over their last three matchups.
