Dulaney and Parkville are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2015, but not for long. The Dulaney Lions will be playing at home against the Parkville Knights at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Dulaney knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past ten matches -- so hopefully Parkville likes a good challenge.
Dulaney can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent contest on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 66-46 margin over Loch Raven. Dulaney pushed the score to 53-27 by the end of the third, a deficit Loch Raven cut but never quite recovered from.
Meanwhile, Parkville posted their closest win since December 27, 2023 on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Loch Raven 63-60. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Parkville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mikko Persia led the charge by scoring 20 points. Persia is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Council, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Dulaney pushed their record up to 15-5 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.7 points per game. As for Parkville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.
Dulaney and Parkville were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in March of 2023, but Dulaney came up empty-handed after a 67-66 defeat. Will Dulaney have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other basketball content.
