The Lompoc Braves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by Sierra Pacific at home and fell 63-32. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lompoc has scored all season.
Sierra Pacific's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nevin Pitkin, who scored 12 points along with seven assists and six steals. Pitkin is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Colin Dodd, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds.
Lompoc's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Sierra Pacific, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.
Lompoc and Dos Pueblos will face off at 11:30 a.m. on December 30, 2023 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Dos Pueblos presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lompoc in California (Dos Pueblos is ranked 400th, while Lompoc is ranked 902nd). Sierra Pacific and Chatsworth will face off at 4:00 p.m. on December 29, 2023 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
