The Silex Owls lost against the North Callaway Thunderbirds back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Silex had to suffer through a rough 78-47 loss at the hands of North Callaway. Silex was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-19.
Sam Pezold had a dynamite game for North Callaway, scoring 27 points along with 6 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Pezold has scored at least 25% of North Callaway's points. Another player making a difference was Austin Brown, who scored 12 points along with 8 rebounds.
Silex's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for North Callaway, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Silex will look to defend their home court on Monday against Community at 7:30 p.m. As for North Callaway, they will face off against Hallsville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
