Snowflake is 9-1 against Holbrook since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Lobos will challenge the Roadrunners at 2:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Snowflake had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 19-run drubbing they dealt Chinle on Thursday. The Lobos blew past the Wildcats 20-1. The victory continues a trend for the Lobos in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won six in a row.

Paisley Solomon made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off seven hits (and only one walk). Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Kelsey Scarbrough was incredible, going 4-for-5 with four stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Addie Coor was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.
Snowflake was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .543. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Holbrook was able to grind out a solid win over Monument Valley on Saturday, taking the game 19-15.
Holbrook let Angelica Uranga and Alexis Young run wild. Uranga went 3-for-5 with four runs, two triples, and three RBI, while Young went 4-for-5 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple was Young's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jaycee Greer, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Snowflake's record is now 14-9. As for Holbrook, their record now sits at 11-15.
Monday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Snowflake hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .363. However, it's not like Holbrook struggles in that department as they've averaged .319. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Snowflake got the 'W' when the teams last played back in March against Holbrook by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lobos since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
