While Shenendehowa's victory against Guilderland wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Plainsmen slipped by the Flying Dutchmen 21-20 on Friday. Given the Plainsmen's advantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 18th, while the Flying Dutchmen are ranked 123rd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Shenendehowa got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Carter Toth out in front who rushed for 77 yards and one score on only seven carries. Jakub Tomaszewski did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 91 receiving yards.

Shenendehowa didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Brendan Hesnor and Tomaszewski. Coby Kennedy was another major factor on D, picking up two sacks, forcing one fumble, and making nine total tackles.

The victory was the third in a row for Shenendehowa, bringing their record up to 3-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 32.7 points this season. As for Guilderland, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
