They blew past the Raiders, posting a 87-53 win on the road. Given Hialeah Educational Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 58th, while Ransom Everglades is ranked 445th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Reece Randolph, who went 9 for 13 from beyond the arc en route to 40 points and 2 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Dario Haro, who scored nine points along with seven steals.
Meanwhile, Divine Savior Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 45.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They strolled past Florida Christian with points to spare, taking the game 70-51.
Hialeah Educational Academy is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season. As for Divine Savior Academy, their win bumped their record up to 14-10.
Hialeah Educational Academy couldn't quite finish off Divine Savior Academy in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 and fell 80-78. Thankfully for Hialeah Educational Academy, Kaue Kalinowski (who scored 22 points along with three steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
