The Elkmont Red Devils will head out on the road to take on the Lawrence County Red Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Lawrence County took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Elkmont, who comes in off a win.
Last Thursday, Elkmont's game was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past West Limestone 3-2. The win was just what Elkmont needed coming off of a 10-0 loss in their prior contest.
Lawrence County kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They suffered a tough 6-0 defeat at the hands of Danville. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lawrence County in their matchups with Danville: they've now lost four in a row.
Elkmont's victory bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Lawrence County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
