This was payback for East Mecklenburg, who suffered a 57-17 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Leading East Mecklenburg to victory were Ava Stallings and Presense Downer. Stallings scored four points along with seven rebounds, while Downer scored eight points. Stallings has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.
East Mecklenburg's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Olympic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Mecklenburg won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Weddington at 6:00 p.m. on January 4th.
