Riverdale Ridge lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Marcus Hinh, who scored 13 points along with nine assists and two steals. That's the first time this season that Hinh posted eight or more assists. Another player making a difference was Kameren Davis, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Severance's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaden Hoffman, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Damarii Wright, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three blocks.
Riverdale Ridge's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-2. As for Severance, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverdale Ridge will take on Resurrection Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Severance won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Thompson Valley at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th.
