The Jim Thorpe Olympians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 69-29 loss at the hands of North Schuylkill. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Jim Thorpe in their matchups with North Schuylkill: they've now lost four in a row.
North Schuylkill got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Zane Zulkowski out in front who scored 12 points along with seven assists and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Joey Flail, who scored ten points along with five assists and two blocks.
Jim Thorpe's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for North Schuylkill, they pushed their record up to 9-4 with that victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
Jim Thorpe will challenge Pine Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pine Grove is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for North Schuylkill, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Pottsville at 7:30 p.m. Pottsville is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 53.6 points per game.
